Dec. 2, 2015 Government Passes Bill 106 Press Release
As you know, Bill 106, the Protecting Condominium Owners Act, 2015, was introduced in the legislature on May 27, 2015, began 2nd Reading debate on September 15, 2015 and was referred to the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs on October 7, 2015.
 
Earlier today, December 2, 2015, Bill 106 passed Third Reading and Royal Assent is expected shortly. For more information, please see the following news release: http://news.ontario.ca/mgs/en/2015/12/ontario-passes-legislation-to-protect-condo-owners.html.

Ontario plans to move quickly to deliver upon the key commitments of this act. The province will continue to consult with members of the public and stakeholders to gather their expertise during the development of regulations and implementation of this important legislation.
 
We will continue to communicate updates regarding condo reform as we move ahead with implementation and regulation development.

On May 27, 2015 Ontario's Government and Consumer Services Minister David Orazietti announced changes to the Condominium Act.  Here is a link to the press release:
